A large high reliability organisation with a distributed workforce and intensive project pipeline needed to build capability and support people to move into the roles of the future within a twelve-month timeframe or face risking not being able to deliver on their strategy. Conventional approaches were not going to deliver an extraordinary outcome, so through a trusted relationship, Bright People partnered in co-developing a pragmatic yet innovative solution.
We partnered with leadership to tailor a multifaceted capability project, aimed at defining multiple success profiles (based on external research and benchmarking) including robust and measurable technical and leadership capabilities, diagnose current levels of capabilities and 180° multi-rater feedback (revealing known and unknown strengths & development opportunities), shape and facilitate one-on-one feedback sessions connecting participants to customised learning and development menus.
The business successfully transitioned >25 people into three different future state roles. Leaders reported increased engagement, trust and on-the-job performance improvement. 90% of participants highly recommended this intensive development solution to their colleagues. Costs of redundancy and additional contractor spend was also mitigated, delivering a significant ROI on this more than self-funding project.
