A global construction and infrastructure organisation partnered with Bright People to enhance its performance management approach in the wake of implementing SuccessFactors. Bright People was engaged to co-design a streamlined performance cycle and calibration process, creating a detailed Performance Cycle Handbook and Calibration Playbook. The project also included experiential learning sessions for HR practitioners, resulting in clearer guidelines, improved HR capabilities, and a more effective performance management system.
Situation
Following the recent implementation of SuccessFactors, a global construction & infrastructure company recognised an opportunity to review and improve their performance management approach. The company sought to develop a more effective performance cycle and calibration process involving both leaders and HR.
Solution
Bright People was engaged to co-design a comprehensive performance management approach and supporting materials. The solution included:
- Performance Cycle Handbook: Created a handbook-style document featuring step-by-step illustrations of the performance management cycle to guide employees through the process.
- Calibration Playbook: Developed a playbook for senior leaders and HR, outlining best practices and procedures for effectively calibrating performance assessments.
- Experiential Learning: Designed and facilitated experiential learning sessions for HR practitioners, focusing on enhancing skills related to performance and talent management activities.
Outcome
The project resulted in the following outcomes:
