Co-develop Enterprise Operating Model and supporting Org Design and implementation plan

Not-for-profit Queensland 2021

Partnering with a not-for-profit organisation in the disability services sector to co-develop their enterprise operating model and supporting organisation design, capability statements and implementation plan to support future growth agenda.


As the Organisation looked to grow and increase revenue, whilst putting its customer at the heart of all they do, as part of its recent strategic planning activities there was a recognition that the organisation needed to ensure it was working collectively to ensure they were fit and ready to deliver on their strategy. There was a desire to build on the investments made to date, and provide consistent and standardised ways of optimising capability, talent and other resources by creating a framework that defined critical elements of an organisation into the future and the relational aspects of each on one another. With foundational Strategy definition work completed, the Organisation required a detailed representation of how the company could be best organised to deliver and execute on their strategy.


Bright People were engaged to project manage and co-develop the operating model to support upcoming growth requirements. With extensive executive stakeholder consultation, we created a matrix detailed blueprint, future operating model and detailed description of the organisation of the future. This was supported by additional deliverables including identification of the critical strategy enabling organisational capabilities defined with accompanying KPI’s, organisational design principles and design to sub-function level to enable future detailed org design/ job design, implementation roadmap and detailed recommendations on integration of the operating model, routines, rhythms and decision-making practices.


Executive clarity, ownership and common priorities for the organisation and the application of their corporate strategy. A common high-level representation of how a company can be organised more efficiently and effectively from a variety of perspectives across the value chain to delivery on the strategy. Collective focus on a shared blueprint for success informing our people experience (customer and team). Enabled informed decisions by Executives on behalf of the organisation to deliver superior business outcomes.
