Partnering to deliver an ‘owned’ plan and actions to support the engagement and development of frontline leadership and supervisor capability.

Situation

A referral from a delighted client resulted in Bright People partnering to deliver a cultural change and capability development project within the resources sector. The client had experienced significant industrial disputation, safety and cost challenges and wanted an experienced partner to solve a complex set of dynamics.

Solution

Based on our experience and in-house capabilities including organisation psychology, leadership development and organisation design, we spent some time getting to know the client to inform developing a solution to meet them where they were at. Our genuine curiosity, and blended approach of seeking to understand organisation design (from operating model to structure, and capabilities within roles), paved the way to establishing a program of work with a focus on effective organisation design, activated through targeted development for the workforce.

Outcome

Development of an ‘owned’ plan and actions to support the engagement and development of frontline leadership and supervisor capability. The provision of trusted insights and observations to improve leadership effectiveness. An uplift of leadership capability, reduction in risk, turnover, and improved confidence of safe production at the right cost.
