This project involved crafting a new organisational design, including a clear vision, business archetype, critical capabilities, and governance structures. The result? A comprehensive blueprint that supported effective decision-making and set the stage for future success. This strategic redesign positioned the organisation for sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Situation

To capitalise on growth opportunities while managing risks associated with its existing business model, a major utilities organisation partnered with Bright People to explore alternative business ownership models for its growth ventures. - Core Roles and Responsibilities: Defined key organisational roles and responsibilities.
- Governance Structures and Decision-Making Framework: Designed governance structures and a decision-making framework to ensure effective management and agility.
- Culture Definition and Activation: Developed a cultural framework to support alignment and cohesion.

Outcome

The project achieved several key outcomes:

- Optimal Operating Model: Provided clarity on the most suitable operating model to support the Board’s decision-making process.
- Blueprint for Implementation: Delivered a detailed blueprint for the design and establishment of the new organisation, facilitating a smooth transition and ensuring alignment with growth objectives.
