Leader Attribute Definition & Integration
Partnering with one of our largest (~40,000 employees) long-standing clients to support the re-design of their Leadership Model by articulating the differentiating attributes of their future leaders to support the delivery and endurance of their business strategy.
We were engaged by one of our largest (~40,000 employees) long-standing clients to support the re-design of their Leadership Model. During a time of significant turbulence, the global mining organisation was looking to articulate the differentiating attributes of their future leaders.
Our approach involved extensive research, both internal and external, to recommend and define the core leader attributes to support the delivery and endurance of their business strategy. We supported the integration and implementation of the attributes, wiring into key people processes and systems including the global recruitment approach / assessment tools and leadership development tools. The successful launch and adoption resulted in our continued engagement to extend the application of the leader attributes to be enterprise-wide (Organisational Values).
The leader attributes were designed to be simple, evidence-based and to resonate with leaders.
These attributes embodied the organisational aspirations for future leaders and supported a significant cultural shift through clearly defined attributes to differentiate ‘great’ leaders, articulating the underpinning personal characteristics of each attribute to be incorporated throughout the employee lifecycle and design of a bespoke assessment tool for exploring the attributes to support selection and development.
